В статье рассматривается роль бурятских большевиков в создании Бурят-Монгольской автономии. Показано, что они рассматривали республику не столько в качестве института, способствующего развитию и сохранению этнической специфики бурят, сколько в качестве инструмента, с помощью которого бурятский народ получает возможность интегрироваться в общесоветское социополитическое пространство. В этом смысле приверженцы коммунистической идеи объективно стали выступать в качестве представителей гражданского национализма, а их сверхзадачей стало создание новой «многонациональной» нации.

THE ROLE OF BURYAT COMMUNISTS IN THE CREATION OF BURYAT-MONGOLIAN ASSR

The article is devoted to the role of the Buryat Bolsheviks in creation of the Buryat-Mongolian autonomy. It is shown that they considered the republic not as an institution that promotes the development and preservation of the ethnic specifics of the Buryats, but rather as an instrument through which the Buryat people get the opportunity to integrate into the all-Soviet sociopolitical space. In this sense, the adherents of the communist idea objectively began to act as representatives of civic nationalism, and their supermission was the creation of a new “multinational” nation.
